STATEMENT OF GOV. BARBOUR ON APRIL REVENUES
"The latest information from the Department of Revenue shows that Mississippi's preliminary April revenue collections have exceeded the estimate by 8.39 percent, or $40.2 million more than we anticipated. I continue to advocate for balancing our state’s slow recovery with a measured approach to budgeting, particularly as Mississippi continues to face 10 percent unemployment and our citizens face rising gas prices."
