STATE EARLY CHILDHOOD ADVISORY COUNCIL OF MISSISSIPPI NOW ONLINE
Governor Haley Barbour and the State Early Childhood Advisory Council of Mississippi announce a new blog at http://ecac4ms.wordpress.com to keep the public engaged with early childhood issues in the state. The blog will be updated periodically to announce meetings and activities of the council and its committees. In addition, copies of the council’s reports also are available on the site.
The Early Childhood Advisory Council was established in June 2008 by Governor Barbour to develop a strategic plan to coordinate efforts, programs and resources supporting children birth to five years and to identify opportunities for and barriers to collaboration and coordination among programs and agencies. In April, Stacy Callender began serving as the Executive Director for the Council. She is located in the Office of the Governor to ensure access to the Governor and other key policy makers.
