GOVERNOR BARBOUR APPOINTS EDGIN TO MISSISSIPPI RIVER PARKWAY COMMISSION

 

(JACKSON, Mississippi) — Governor Haley Barbour appointed Brenda Edgin, of Natchez, to the Mississippi River Parkway Commission, a multi-state organization that promotes the scenic, historic, and recreational resources of the Mississippi River. The commission also endeavors to foster economic growth in the corridor as well as develop the national and historic parkway known as the Great River Road.

 

“As a native of the riverside city of Natchez, Brenda knows firsthand how important it is to develop the resources of the Mississippi River,” Governor Barbour said. “I’m pleased she has accepted this assignment, and look forward to her good works in this capacity.”

 

Edgin and her husband, Richard A. Edgin, Jr., serve as owners of Edgin Construction Company. She is a member of the Vidalia Garden Club as well as the Natchez Garden Club.

 

Edgin and her husband have four adult children.
