GOVERNOR BARBOUR APPOINTS WHITE TO BOARD OF PHARMACY

 

(JACKSON, Mississippi)-Governor Haley Barbour has appointed Jimmy White, of Richton, to the State Board of Pharmacy, which regulates the practice of pharmacy and the distribution of prescription drugs and devices.

 

“An experienced pharmacist, Jimmy is a perfect fit for this board. I’m delighted he has accepted this important assignment,” Governor Barbour said.

 

White has been a pharmacist for 36 years. He also served as Mayor of Richton for 11 years and was an Alderman for the town for 20 years. Within his community, White is a member of the Perry County Chamber of Commerce, Rotary Club, and the Mississippi Cattlemen’s Association.

 

White attended Jones County Junior College and the University of Louisiana. He has been married to his wife, Mitzi, for 12 years. White has five adult children, Jim, Shari, David, Lance, and Neal.
