GOVERNOR BARBOUR APPOINTS WENZEL TO THE EMERGENCY MEDICAL SERVICES ADVISORY COUNCIL
(JACKSON, Mississippi)-Governor Haley Barbour has appointed Josh Wenzel, of Tupelo, to the Emergency Medical Services Advisory Council. This council is designed to organize, regulate, and maintain a statewide program to improve emergency medical care; the council also strives to promote and maintain high standards of pre-hospital care for citizens and visitors of Mississippi.
“I am confident that Josh will serve the people of Mississippi well,” said Governor Barbour. “He has emergency medical experience that makes him very well-qualified for this position.”
Wenzel has worked in emergency services for nearly 6 years and currently serves as pre-hospital director at North Mississippi Medical Center. He earned an associate degree in paramedicine from Western Kentucky University and a bachelor’s degree in business from Mid-Continent University.
He and his wife, Leslie, have been married 4 years. They have one daughter, Zoey Kathryn.
