GOVERNOR BARBOUR APPOINTS WEBB TO PEARL RIVER INDUSTRIAL COMMISSION

(Jackson, Mississippi)—Governor Haley Barbour today announced the appointment of Robert D. Webb, of Madison, to the Pearl River Industrial Commission. By statute, this appointment also makes Webb a member of the Pearl River Valley Water Supply District (PRVWSD), which manages and controls the Ross Barnett Reservoir and surrounding area, including an area one-quarter mile from the shoreline of the reservoir at high water. Members of the PRVWSD represent Hinds, Madison, Rankin, Scott, and Leake counties.

“I am pleased to have Robert serving on this commission,” Governor Barbour said. “He has resided in the Pearl River area for more than 30 years and understands the district’s economic and recreational importance. I am confident that he will serve the citizens of Mississippi well.”

Webb has worked in the financial services and investment advisory business for over 20 years and currently serves as vice president and financial consultant with the Mississippi branch of Charles Schwab & Company, Inc. He is a member of the board of directors of the Northbay Property Owners Association and chairs the Madison Recreation Committee. Previously, Webb served as chairman of the Governor’s Commission on Physical Fitness and Sports and spent ten years coaching in the Madison-Ridgeland Youth Club fastpitch program.

He and his wife, Stephanie, have one daughter, Adrienne.
