GOVERNOR BARBOUR APPOINTS SNEED TO SOYBEAN PROMOTION BOARD

(Jackson, Mississippi)—Governor Haley Barbour announced the appointment of James D. “ Jimmy” Sneed, of Senatobia, to the Mississippi Soybean Promotion Board, which is designed to promote the growth and development of the soybean industry in Mississippi by research, advertisement promotions, education, and market development.

“I am proud that Jimmy has accepted this position,” Governor Barbour said. “He has years of soybean farming and business experience that make him well-qualified to fill this role. I feel confident Jimmy will be a great asset and will serve the citizens of Mississippi well.”

Sneed is general manager of Clifton Farms. He also serves as director of the Mississippi Soybean Association and as a member of Mississippi Farm Bureau. Sneed, a 1976 graduate of Mississippi State University, is married to the former Dinah Knight. Together, they have two children, Emily and Russ.
