GOVERNOR BARBOUR APPOINTS GRIFFITH TO MISSISSIPPI REAL ESTATE BOARD
(Jackson, Mississippi)—Governor Haley Barbour today announced the appointment of Anita Griffith, of Cleveland, to the Real Estate Appraiser Licensing and Certification Board. This board receives applications for licensures for real estate appraisers, establishes appropriate administrative procedures for the processing of such applications, and issues licenses to qualified applicants pursuant to the provisions of Mississippi law.
“Anita is a good choice to fill this position,” Governor Barbour said. “She has years of appraising and real estate experience that make her well-qualified to fill this role. I feel confident Anita will be a great asset and will serve the citizens of Mississippi well.”

Griffith was the Bolivar County Commissioner of Mental Health from 1993 to 1995 and currently serves as Bolivar County Jury Commissioner. Previously, she was director of medical services at Bolivar County Head Start and director of aftercare services at the Delta Community Mental Health Services. Professionally, Griffith is a member of the Association of Appraiser Regulatory Officials; National and Mississippi Association of Realtors; Cleveland Board of Realtors; and the American Society of Farm Managers and Rural Appraisers, Inc.
