His previous experience includes working with the Mississippi Cooperative Extension Service and the Alcorn County Farmers Co-Op. A member of the Mississippi Chapter of the International Association of Assessing Officers, Wilkinson is past president of the Corinth Kiwanis Club.
He attended Northeast Mississippi Community College and graduated from Mississippi State University. Wilkinson and his wife, Debora, have three children and three grandchildren.
